Shirley’s Obituary Shirley Schnose was born December 30, 1934 in Sioux City, Iowa to parents Herman and Anna Mae (Barto) Geveshausen. She married Manford Schnose on October 23, 1969 at Luverne, Minnesota. They lived on a farm northeast of Beresford. Shirley worked in the fields and always had a big garden. She loved to ride horses, she and her husband belonged to the Alcester and Centerville Saddle Club. They moved into Beresford in 1972 and Shirley began working at Custom Coils in Alcester; she retired in 2006 after working there 34 years. She died October 12, 2019 at Bethesda of Beresford at the age of 84 years, nine months and 12 days. Preceding her in death are her parents, husband, Manford, in 1984; two brothers, Earl Geveshausen and Herman Geveshausen; and an infant sister, Gertrude. Among those who survive and gratefully shared her life are her sister, Dixie Warner of Murdo, SD; five nephews, five nieces and her little Pomeranian, Tippy. Funeral services will be 2PM Friday, October 18, 2019 at Wass Funeral Home in Beresford with visitation one hour prior to service. Burial will follow at Beresford City Cemetery. Read More
