Shirley Harden Glickauf 2019

2019
Shirley (Harden) Glickauf, 93, of Robinson, IL, died on August 29, 2019, at Cotillion Ridge in Robinson. She was born May 9, 1926, in Chicago, IL, to Edward Rieke & Evelyn (Barbaras) Rieke, both of whom preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, William Harold Harden; by her second husband, Rudy Glickauf; by her brother, Jack Rieke; and by her daughter, Mary Evelyn Harden. She is survived by her daughters & sons-in-law, Judy & Edward Massof… (Shelby Township, MI) and Dolly & Roy Leon Robinson (Robinson, IL); by her grandchildren, William & Melissa Robinson, Curtis & Cathy Massof, Wesley & Kristine Robinson, Jeanette (Massof) & William Stewart, and Wade & Patricia Robinson; by 10 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Shirley primarily grew up in the Chicago area and was a graduate of Senn High School. Her first marriage took her to Kentucky and southern Illinois, but she never lost her heart for Chicago. They eventually moved back to the Windy City, where Shirley sold real estate both downtown and in the suburbs for many years. Upon moving to Robinson in 2004, she continued to sell real estate for a time before finally hanging her hat in 2007. Much of her success could be attributed to both her unstoppable work ethic and to her outgoing nature. Simply put, she was a people person! Her family and friends will remember Shirley as a determined, but kind-hearted soul whose generosity of spirit will live on the hearts of her loved ones for years to come! As per Shirley’s wishes, there will be no public service, and her cremated remains will be buried in the White Chapel Cemetery in Salem, KY. The Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson is in charge of arrangements.
