Burk will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 22, 2019, in Antioch Baptist Church with Rev. Vivian Garza, Pastor officiating. Burial will follow in Cache Cemetery under direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home. The family will greet friends from 6-8 pm Monday at the funeral home. Ronny A. Burk, age 40, Lawton, died Thursday, October 17, 2019 at his residence. He was born August 2, 1979 in Lawton and grew up in Geronimo. He was a graduate of Geronimo High School and was an outstanding basketball player while in school. Ronny also coached Chelo’s basketball team for two seasons in elementary school. He later attended Cameron University. Ronny married Shelly Arce on June 18, 2010 in Lawton. He began working for Dillard’s in August of 1999 and at the time of his death was the dock manager. He loved playing darts, gaming and smoking different meats on the smoker his brother built for him. He was great at smoking ribs, brisket and pork loins. He was also a huge fan of the University of Oklahoma. He is survived by his wife, Shelly, of the home; son, Enrique “Chelo” Arce, of the home; his father, Russell Wayne Burk, Sr., Geronimo; his mother, Kay Burk, Geronimo; brother, Russell Wayne “Rusty” Burk, Jr. and wife Christy, Geronimo; his mother-in-law, Patty Futch, Lawton; brother-in-law, Bobby Cogbill, Lawton; several nieces and nephews and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
