Obituary Robert “Bob” B. Hill, Jr., age 72, was born in Ada, Michigan in 1947 and passed away in Howard City, MI on Friday, October 25, 2019. Bob was a SP#4 in the U.S. Army, stationed in France/Germany in 1966-1968, when he was honorably discharged. He worked for Bell Telephone/Ameritech from 1968-2000, at which time he retired. He was very active in his community and his church. His great loves in his life were his family and old cars. Bob is survived by his daughter Lori Kennedy Hill (Frank); his sisters Cherry Pakiela (Phil), Margie Behr, Ruth Hill (Letizia), and Jennifer Hill; his grandchildren Christopher Miller (Amber), Brittany Clarke (Steven), Marcus Miller, and Monica Miller; his great grandchildren Landon and Kolton Clarke, and Ethan, Hannah, and Zachary Miller; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Robert Hill, Sr. and Ruth Hill; his wife Kathy Hill; along with his brothers John and Jim. A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, November 2, at 3:00 pm at Zaagman Memorial Chapel (2800 Burton St. SE) with Pastor Dan Hathaway officiating. Visitation will be from 1-3 pm prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Northeast Community Church (861 Fuller Ave. NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49503).
