Ricky Mathis, age 63, of Woodbury passed away Thursday, October 3, 2019 at Tri-Star Centennial Medical Center. He was a native of Cannon Co. He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Gray Mathis & Alta Mae Mathis. Ricky was a member of the church of Christ, a former memberof the Woodbury Fire Department, Cannon County Civil Defense, and Cannon County Volunteer Fire & Rescue Squad. He was elected as Constable in 1994 and served through 2002. He was a former Cannon County Sheriff Tennessee Department of Correction’s Officer and was a retired security officer with Fluor Corporation, and served in the United States Army. Ricky had earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminology at Louisiana State University. He founded the Facebook page LSU Tiger Mania and was an avid LSU tiger fan. Per Ricky’s request, he will be cremated and no services will be conducted. Donations may be made to the Woodbury Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses. favorite_border Donations Pledges
