Rickey Lee Sink,64, of Bloomington, Indiana passed away on Saturday, October 12, 2019 at IU Health Bloomington Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Rickey was born on November 25, 1954 in Indianapolis, IN to the late James and Mildred (Robertson) Sink. He attended Bloomington South High School and graduated in 1973. Following graduation Rickey enlisted in the Army and was stationed in Germany. Rickey was honorably discharged after several years of faithful service. Rickey made Bloomington his home and married the love of his life Connie Jo Harris on September 24, 1988, they spent 31 wonderful years together. He worked in maintenance and repair for many years at several hotels and nursing homes in the Bloomington area until he retired. Rickey liked to fix things and tinker in his garage as well as mowing and maintaining his yard, until his health declined, and he could no longer do the things he loved. Rickey was a wonderful husband, brother, and friend. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Rickey is survived by his wife of 31 years, Connie Jo (Harris) Sink; brother, Randy Sink and wife Beth Sink; and several nieces and nephews. Rickey is preceded in death by his parents. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, October 17, 2019 at Gosport Cemetery. With David Lee officiating. The Bloomington Honor Guard will be performing military rights following the committal service. Allen Funeral Home and Crematory have been entrusted with arrangements.
