Obituary of Richard P. Jones Mr. Richard P. Jones, 66, of Willett Street, Fort Plain, New York died Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady, following a battle with cancer. Born on June 1, 1953 in Little Falls, NY, he was the son of Percy Jones and Marion Nellis Jones. He was a lifetime area resident. Mr. Jones had a variety of skills from being an electrician to a locksmith. He enjoyed gardening and working outdoors. He adored his grandchildren. He was of Christian faith. In 1975 in Palatine, NY, Richard was married to Kathleen Vosburgh. His sister, Linda Blencoe and brother, Louis Jones predeceased him. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Kathleen “Katy” Jones of Fort Plain, NY; daughters, Jennifer Jones of Fort Plain, NY, Jessica Jones of Fort Plain, NY, Janice Mann of Fort Plain, NY; brother, Gerald “Jerry” Jones of Palatine Bridge, NY; grandchildren, Jarrett, Brooke, Shymecca, Ciara; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. A graveside service will be held at 10:00AM on Friday, November 1, 2019 at Fort Plain Cemetery, Clyde Street, Fort Plain, NY 13339.
