Richard’s Obituary Rodney – Richard E. Landgraf, 80, of Rodney, passed away Sunday, September 29, 2019 at Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids. He was born July 10, 1939, in Reed City, the son of Robert and Matilda (Tessman) Landgraf, and graduated from Barryton High School in 1957. Richard worked at Ferris State University, starting in food service and then carpentry, for 34 years before retiring. For many years, Richard and his brother Donald have owned and operated Landgraf Farm near Rodney. He was also a longtime member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Big Rapids. Richard was a hard-working and dedicated husband and father, and will be greatly missed by his family and friends. In 1984, he married Janet Tetzlaff, who survives. He is also survived by their daughter Barbara (Tyler) Cook of Big Rapids; granddaughter Cadence; one brother Donald of Rodney; two nieces, Joann (Paul) Stevens and Suann Landgraf; and grand nieces and nephews, Matthias, Naomi, and Jonathan. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, October 3, 2019, at the Mohnke Funeral Home in Big Rapids, with Pastor John Bookshaw officiating. Burial will follow in the Martiny Township Cemetery. Richard’s family will greet friends at the funeral home on Thursday beginning at 10:00 a.m. Memorial contributions in his name may be made to St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
