Penny’s Obituary Penny S. Emerick, age 59, died on Saturday, October 19, 2019 at 8:22 AM at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, Columbus. She was born on September 24, 1960 in Lima, Ohio to the late Oren and Pauline “Pug” (Dyer) Wright. Penny was previously married to the late Tom Emerick and they were divorced. Penny worked for Chief Supermarket, Lima as a cashier. She is survived by her brother, Tracy Wright of Kenton; two sisters: Sherry (Doug) Sauer of Findlay and Patty Burkheimer of Lima; five nieces and nephews: Scott Sauer, Lisa (Dennis) Messmore, Doug (Amber) Sauer Jr., Chad (Katie) Burkheimer and Dyllan Burkheimer; and seven great nieces and nephews. A graveside burial of ashes will take place on Saturday, October 26, 2019 at 11:00 AM in Preston Cemetery, Alger with Pastor Teresa Wenrick officiating. Penny loved children and animals and the family would appreciate in lieu of flowers donations be made to St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN. 38105 and/or the Allen County Humane Society, 3606 Elida Road, Lima, Ohio 45807.
