Mrs. Ora Dell Smith, 90 of Brighton, passed away on the morning of Saturday, October 12, 2019. Mrs. Smith, the widow of Mr. James Herman Smith, was a member of the Brighton Baptist Church where she worked as the secretary, was a member of the WMU, and was a member of the Golden Agers. Mrs. Smith is survived by her daughters, Esther Cordle of Holliday, TN, Janice Lovett (Lavelle) of Covington, Barbara David (Rick) of Covington, and Tina Erwin (Alan) of Brighton; fifteen grandchildren, twenty five great-grandchildren, and ten great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her daughter, Julie Rowand; her parents, Miller Lambkin and Lillie Northcutt Wright; and by her siblings. Visitation for Mrs. Smith will be held Sunday night, October 13, from 5-7 PM at the Maley-Yarbrough Chapel. Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Monday morning, October 14th. Interment will follow in Morrison Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family has asked that memorials be sent to the Brighton Baptist Church.
