Muriel J. Hernandez, 80, of Floral City, FL, passed away on October 26, 2019 in Inverness, FL. She was born on August 18, 1939 in Hammond, IN, daughter of Amos and Bertha Baird. Muriel was a graduate of Hammond Technical High School and the Purdue University LPN Nursing Program. She worked as an LPN for the Munster Community Hospital in Munster, IN. She was a volunteer for the Red Cross, a founding member of the Nursing Union #1199 in Gary, IN, and a member of the Salvation Army Home League. Muriel was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Michael; sisters, Lucille Warner, Gwendolyn Prucy, Laura Smith, Delores Hutchins; and brother, Bill Baird. Survivors include her children, Richard Moss of Floral City, FL; Roger Moss (Cathy) of Hobart, IN; Pamela Kocoras (John Karpus) of Inverness, FL; and Jamison Hernandez of Floral City, FL; and two grandchildren, Patricia Moss and Tammi Moss of Albany, NY.
