Michael’s Obituary Ava- Michael R. Garlington, 66, passed away at his home peacefully on Monday, September 30, 2019 with his family by his side. He was born on November 3, 1952 at Ladd Air Force Base, Fairbanks, Alaska, a son of Arthur and Claire Cournoyer Garlington. He attended the State University of New York Institute of Technology where he graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business. Michael was an avid motorcyclist and participated in motorcycle sports. He also enjoyed hunting. Surviving are his loving wife, Dawn; two sons and a daughter, Michael (Paula) Garlington, Faith (Kevin) Moran and Benjamin (Ashley) Garlington; one granddaughter, Ella Garlington; two brothers, Raymond (Patty) Garlington and David (Melissa) Garlington. He was predeceased by Arthur and Claire Garlington. Michael’s family would like to extend a special thank you to Steve Dutch, Hospice, Dr. Cherny and the staff of HOA for all the care shown to Michael in the past few months. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 2, 2019 at 7 p.m. at Mills Funeral Home, 301 Post Street, Boonville. Calling hours will be 4-7 p.m. prior to the service.
