Michael Alan Birchfield, 68, of Crystal Lake, was born on December 8, 1950 and passed away on October 19, 2019. He was the proud father of Sabrina L. McMichaels and Jamison R. Birchfield; cherished grandfather of Caitlin McMichaels, Warren Birchfield, Austin McMichaels, Savannah Birchfield and Nolan Birchfield; beloved brother of Terry Gaddis; devoted significant other of Dianne “Kelly” McLaren; and dear friend of Bill’s for 35 years. Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Warren and Nelda Birchfield; and brother, Mark Birchfield. Michael was the former design engineer in the curtain wall construction industry and retired baggage handler with United Airlines. He loved to ride his Harley, Night Train. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 25, from 4 pm until the time of his service at 7:30 pm at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave. (Rte. 176), Crystal Lake. Interment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Michael’s honor may be made to the Crystal Lake Alano Club (see link below). Donations may be made to: Crystal Lake Alano Club 36 N.
