Mary’s Obituary Mary Olive (Meunier Vankilsdonk) Nelson, 80, Green Bay, passed away peacefully in her sleep and joined God’s choir on Saturday, October 19, 2019. She was born October 27, 1938 to the late Frederick and Mary Hegnet) Meunier. Mary worked as a caregiver in private homes, and at a local nursing home. She was a very loving, feisty, and strong little lady. Mary had a great sense of humor and loved to make people laugh. She was blessed with a beautiful singing voice and played the piano, harmonica, and accordion. Mary spent many nights with Jerry dancing and doing puzzles. While raising her children, she would always say “there’s a place for everything, and everything in it’s place”. She was a very organized and conscientious person. Mary is survived by her “Sweets”, Jerome Poquette, together for 15 years; her six children, Robin (Blaine) Baker, Natalie Vernon, Roger Vankilsdonk, Tim (Katie) Vankilsdonk, Shelly Vankilsdonk, Lance Kohl; grandchildren, Michael Dilny, Anna Hoel, Benjamin Gollnick, John Vernon, Holland Vernon, Christopher Vankilsdonk, Megan and Jeremiah Spice, Wesley Vankilsdonk, Regan DeGrand, Marissa, Courtney and Nathan Kohl; and great-grandchildren, Tennyson, Ember, Brylee, Jasper, Benjamin, William, Evan, Theodore. She is also survived by her sister, Marilyn Nitti (Keith); and brother, Stanley Meunier; along with their children. Mary was preceded in death by her spouse, William P. Nelson; infant children, John and Cheryl; three brothers, Denver, Dick and Mike, Sr.; three sisters, LuLu, Mavis and Iva; and one great grandchild, Ty Vankilsdonk. Visitation will be at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, October 23; followed by the Funeral Service at 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
