He was born on July 21, 1945 in Rome, Georgia. He was the son of the late Marvin R. Busby, Sr. and Pearl Inez Billingsley Busby. Mr. Busby was a veteran of the United States Navy serving in Spain for several years. Mr. Busby is survived by his brother, Mike Busby (Mary); step daughter; Cindy Nix Hamilton; daughter in law, Donna Murray Nix; step son, Perry “Shane” Nix; 16 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Several extended family members also survive. Mr. Busby is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Sandra King Busby; and step son, William H. “Buddy” Nix. In keeping with Mr. Busby’s wishes he was cremated and a private service will be held at a later date.
