Martin “Marty” L. Matlock, 74, of Decatur, IL, passed away October 13, 2019 at St. Mary’s Hospital. Marty was born July 19, 1945 in Decatur, IL, the son of Elza and Virginia Matlock. He worked as an EMT for Fayette County Hospital in Vandalia, IL. He enjoyed watching television and sleeping. Surviving are his daughter, Shellie Kay Getz of Decatur, IL; grandchildren, Ashley Summers, Todd Getz, Jr., Brittany Jennings; great-grandchildren, Dimitri Jennings, Dey’shaun Jennings, and Neveah Brown. Private services will held at a later date. Memorials: Family of Martin L. Matlock. The Graceland Fairlawn Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Marty.
