Martha Jane Roye Perry, long time resident of Salt Lake City, age 64, peacefully passed away Friday, October 18, 2019. Martha was born July 14, 1955 in Monroe, Louisiana to Vasco William and Pat (Bell) Roye. She is the second of four children. She married Don Richard “Rick” Perry on April 5, 1982. Martha is preceded in death by her parents Vasco and Pat Roye, her sister Kathleen Roye and her husband Don Richard “Rick” Perry. Martha is survived by her son Tyler J. (Amy) Perry and 4 granddaughters Olivia, Veronika, Abagale and Josephine, and her brothers Eddie Roye, and Terry (Leigh Anne) Roye. Martha loved spending time with family and friends, watching movies and jamming out to good ol’ rock and roll. Martha excelled in school, graduating with an Associate’s Degree from Weber State and a Bachelor’s degree from Steven Henager’s College. She worked many years as a respiratory therapist. Martha has a firm belief in Jesus Christ and would share that love with others. She served an LDS mission in Montana. She will be deeply missed. A celebration of life will be Friday, October 25, 2019 at Goff Mortuary at 8090 S. State St. in Midvale, Utah. The viewing will start at five p.m. and a service at six p.m.
