Mark Craig Edwards, 64, of Virginia, passed away Saturday, September 28, 2019 at the VA Medical Center. Born June 15, 1955 in Columbus Ohio, he was the son of the late Jack Edwards and Betty Louise Roese Edwards. Mark was raised in Columbus and on or near Air Force bases in Dayton, OH, Japan, and Rome, NY. He graduated from Westerville (Ohio) High School in 1973 and served in the Marine Corps from 1973 to 1977, rising to the rank of Sergeant. He retired as a courier for LabCorp in 2019. He loved OSU football and playing cards, especially with family and the high-school friends with whom he kept in touch all his life. He is survived by a sister, Carole Steele; nephew, Jake Sayre (Marissa); niece, Jody Sayre (Billy Gallagher); and great-nieces Lily Sayre and Zoe Gallagher, all of Virginia. At his request, there will be no services. Memorial donations may be made to the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation at www.mcsf.org. Arrangements by Brown Funeral Home.
