Mark Edward Rathbone 1962 – 2019 Mark Edward Rathbone, 57, of Pensacola, FL passed away on Tuesday, October 22, 2019. He was born in Portsmouth, VA to his parents, Lewis and Helen Rathbone on August 1, 1962. Mark graduated from McArthur High School, in Hollywood, FL in 1980. He joined the United States Navy right after graduation at the young age of 17 years old. As a young adult, Mark enjoyed beach volleyball, boating, and all kinds of sports. After 20 years in the Navy, he retired as a Chief Boatswain’s mate. Mark was a commander of AMVETS Post 12, AMVETS Rider, and a Veteran member of American Legion 240. He was a loving son, brother, husband, father and friend. Mark is preceded in death by his parents, Lewis and Helen Rathbone; and brother, Richard Rathbone. He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Lori Rathbone; daughter, Kristen Bachmann; son, Timothy Ducharme; grandchildren, Anniston, and Parker Ducharme; brothers, Lewis Rathbone Jr., and John Rathbone; sister, Bobbie Bowman; A Celebration of Life with full military honors will be held at AMVets Post 12, (3220 Gulf Beach Hwy), Saturday October 26, 2019, beginning at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations in memory of Mark Rathbone. Please make all donations in a check form, made out to and mail to AMVets Post 12, 3220 Gulf Beach Hwy, Pensacola, FL 32507.
