Margaret “Maggie” A. Adams 85 of Carmi passed away Saturday, September 28, 2019 at Wabash Christian Village in Carmi. She was born December 6, 1933 in Carmi, the daughter of Clarence and Anna Catherine (Quinton) Gentry. She married Hubert “Shorty” Adams on October 6, 1952. Maggie worked as a cook at Wabash Christian and was a member of New Beginning Church of God. She enjoyed gardening, fishing and crocheting in her free time. She is survived by her daughter, Donna (Billy) Duncan; brother, Charles Gentry; grandchildren, Michael (Jessica) Duncan, Angela Taylor, Christopher Adams and Amanda Adams; and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Shorty and son, Richard Adams. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, October 2, 2019 at the Stendeback Family Funeral Home in Carmi with burial in Newman Cemetery. Visitation will be held on hour prior to the service on Wednesday, beginning at 1 p.m. until the time of service.
