Obituary for Marcella Gates Print Marcella “Tiny” Gates, age 66, of Elkton, completed her journey on Thursday, October 24, 2019. Tiny attended George Washington Carver High School in Elkton. She worked at Union Hospital for 13 years before retiring in 2010 where she was also a patron. She was a very active member of Wrights AME Church where she taught Sunday School and was in the choir. Tiny was a member of 55 + VLP and Wilson and Purdue Outreach. Tiny was super woman. She loved watching “Judge Shows” and dancing. Tiny was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Octavine Wilson. Survivors include her husband of 37 years, Edward “Gator” Gates; her children, Vaida Demby (Alexander), Brandy Key (Antonio), Tiffany Gates (Connetta Phillips), Jermaine Cline, and Natasha Randolph (Dwayne);her brother, Clyde Wilson (Charlene); her sisters, Glenda Lewis (Curtiss) and Regina Sewell (Colburn); 15 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren; her fur baby, Cesar and a host of other extended family. Memorial Services will be at 11 am on Saturday, November 2 at WRIGHTS AME CHURCH, 125 Booth Street, Elkton, MD 21921 where visitation will begin at 10 am. Burial will be private.
