Lucille Audrey Rock, 91, of Winter Park, FL received her angel wings and went to be with her Lord and Savior on October 7, 2019. She was born on November 2, 1927 in Springfield, IL; daughter of Rev. Robert and Elizabeth Kieser. Lucille graduated from Illinois State University with a degree in education and was employed as a teacher for many years thereafter. She met her husband, Dale Rock, on a blind date. They married in 1949 and spent 67 wonderful years together before his passing in 2017. After moving to Florida in 1953, Lucille was a homemaker and mother enjoying being home to nurture her children. Later, she worked for Harris Corporation for 10 years. Lucille was the daughter of a Presbyterian minister and was active in her church her entire life. She loved to play the piano; playing for church services at Harbor City Christian Church in Melbourne, FL for many years. Lucille and Dale retired to Winter Park in 1992 where they were active in the Young Seniors Group at their church. Throughout their marriage, Lucille and Dale enjoyed traveling and were fortunate to visit all 50 states including Egypt and The Holy Land on three occasions with their church. Lucille is survived by her daughter Ann Rock Cavanaugh (Tom) of Winter Park, FL, John Rock (Pam) of Cocoa, FL, Robert Rock (Megan) of Meridan, ID, seven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. A Burial Service will be held at Glen Haven Memorial Park on October 24, 2019 with her Celebration of Life service at First Christian Church, 1140 S, Lakemont Avenue, Winter Park on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at 11:00am.
