LINDA’s Obituary LINDA BERGENHEIER Linda Bergenheier, 80, Finley, ND died Thursday, October 10, 2019 at her home in Finley, ND. Linda Joyce Erickson was born October 10, 1939 in Sherbrooke, ND to Robert and Helen (Hanson) Erickson. She grew up in Sherbrooke and Finley and graduated from Finley High School in 1957. On January 10, 1959 she married Donald Bergenheier. They were married for 57 years and had two children. Linda and Don enjoyed many activities such as gardening, traveling, and praying the rosary together daily. Linda was a master seamstress. Her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren were all gifted with beautiful quilts lovingly crafted by Linda and treasured by the recipients. Linda worked as a teller at Citizens State Bank for many years until her retirement. She was active in St. Olaf Guild, Red Hats, and Women’s Bible Study. She also volunteered as a librarian at the Finley Public Library. Linda is survived by her children Nancy (Mark) Sartori of Hibbing, MN and Rick (Tess) Bergenheier of Sharon, ND; grandchildren James (Carol Sever) Sartori of Chisholm, MN, John (Maggie) Sartori of Minnetrista, MN, Benjamin (Theresa) Sartori of Albertville, MN, Lindsay (Lou Filip) Bergenheier-Filip of Fargo, ND, Abigail Bergenheier of Jamestown, ND, and Luke Bergenheier of San Francisco, CA; great grandchildren Grace, Ella, Kathleen, and Hannah Sartori, Anja and Mario Sartori, Alma Filip, and Rex Sever. She was preceded in death by her husband Donald Bergenheier, parents Robert and Helen Erickson, and brother Joel Erickson. Funeral services will be Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at 10:30 am in St. Olaf Catholic Church, Finley, ND. Visitation will be Monday, October 14, 2019 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm in the church. A prayer service will be held at 7:00 in the church. Interment will be in the North Dakota Veteran’s Cemetery, Mandan, ND later. Read More
