Leolia’s Obituary Leolia McGee Church, 94, of Port Acres passed away on Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at Summer Place Assisting Living in Beaumont. Leolia was born on April 14, 1925 in Port Arthur, Texas to parents Eulice and Ezolia McGee. She was a homemaker and worked at Gulf Oil Refinery during WWII taking the place of men, so they may go off to war. She also worked at the Rodair Club. Leolia was a loving and giving person who will be dearly missed. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Lomer William “L.W.” Church Jr., her sons, Randy Michael Church, Danny John Church, her daughter, Madlyn Kay Broussard, her grandchildren, Darla McGee, Misty Broussard, her brothers, Sorris McGee and Chester McGee. Leolia is survived by her son, Scottee Paul Church, her daughter, Bonnie Jane Tucker, her grandchildren, Donnie, Donavon, Codey, Kenda, Jeremy, Michael, Laneta, Rene, Danny Jr., Wendy, Kristi, Kristen. She is also survived numerous great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 21, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves, with a gathering of family and friends from 12:00 PM until service time at the funeral home.
