Lela’s Obituary Lela Pearl Barnts (Hinrichs) age 66, of Fairbury Ne. passed away Friday October 4th, 2019 with her husband by her side at the Heritage Care Center in Fairbury Ne. She was the wife of Gary Wayne Barnts they shared 51 years and 5 months of marriage together. Lela was born in Fairbury Ne. on October 19th, 1952. she was the daughter of Max and Phyllis Hinrichs. She attended Fairbury High School. Lela worked at Westins Food Packaging formerly Fairbury Foods for 12 years when she left to take care of her parents. Lela enjoyed her family, kids and grandkids. She always made sure they came first. She also enjoyed her Kansas City Royals baseball and conversations with her sister in law Sandy several times a day. Lela is survived by her husband Gary Wayne Barnts of Fairbury Ne., her brother Bob Hinrichs of Fairbury, her brother Gilbert Hinrichs & wife Lila Hinrichs of Fairbury, her sister in law Vicki Hinrichs of Fairbury, her son Brian Wayne Barnts & wife Theresa Barnts of Fairbury, Her daughter Tammy Jean Barnts & Significant other Adam Sooby of Fairbury, Her grandchildren Megan Lee Barnt & fiancé Daniel Robbins of Fairbury, Cole Michael Williams of Fairbury, Bryce & Alejandra Barnts of Fairbury, Austin Lee Barnts & Fiancé Tara Schroeder of Fairbury, Cameron Max Barnts, & Desmond Vel Barnts Of Fairbury Ne. & 5 great grandchildren. Lela is preceded in death by her parents Max & Phyllis Hinrichs, her brother Leslie Hinrichs, and her sister in law Sandy Hinrichs. Services are as follows: We will meet at the Gerdes-Meyer Funeral Home on October 11 in Fairbury Ne. @ 1:30pm There will be a funeral procession to the Harbine Cemetery with graveside services at 2:00pm following the graveside service there will be a social gathering and meal at Region V Services located at 201 F Street Fairbury Ne. starting at 5:00pm Memorial cards, donations and flowers can be sent to the Gerdes-Meyer Funeral home in care of Gary Barnts.
