Lamar’s Obituary Lamar Bunyan “Sarge” Weaver, 85, of Norman Park, died Friday, October 18, 2019 at Colquitt Regional Medical Center. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, October 21, 2019 in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Voyles and Rev. Thomas Parrish officiating. Interment will follow at Oakdale Church Cemetery. Mikey Key, Danny Key, John Weaver, Ken Weaver, Danny Carter, and Ben Weaver will all serve as pallbearers. Born on February 10, 1934, in Norman Park, Georgia, he was the son of the late Joe B. Weaver and Martha Norman Weaver. He retired from The Swift Co., was a veteran of the United States Airforce and was a member of Crosland Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Violet Weaver; brothers, Darrell Weaver, Ralph Weaver, and James Weaver; and sister, Oneita Carter. Mr. Weaver is survived by his daughters, Diane W. Blanchard and husband Dr. Mark Blanchard and Beverly Funderburk, all of Moultrie; grandchildren, Emily Moncrief of Moultrie, Elizabeth Singley Daughtrey and husband William of Sparks, and Rachel Funderburk and partner Niobe Funderburk of Tifton; great grandchildren, John Patrick Moncrief, Maggie Ruth Moncrief, William Fletcher Daughtrey, and Landon Branch Daughtrey. The family will receive friends the day of the service on Monday, October 21, 2019 from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home. Arrangements have been entrusted to Baker Funeral Home.
