Kristen’s Obituary Kristen L. Adams August 25, 1978 ~ October 15, 2019 Kristen L. Adams (nee Seegert), 41, of Rhinelander, WI passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 15, 2019 while surrounded by her family at Seasons of Life Hospice House in Woodruff. She faced a long, difficult battle with breast cancer, fighting to the last moment out of her love for her family. Kristen was born in Elgin Illinois on August 25, 1978, to Cheryl (Cavitt-Seegert) Siem and Michael Seegert. With her love of animals, she worked at a pet store while attending Larkin High School, graduating in 1996. In June of 1997, Kristen united in marriage with Stanley Adams and moved to their new home in Poplar Grove, IL. They later welcomed two remarkable daughters, Alyssa in 2000 and Hailey in 2004. With new job opportunities, the family relocated to Brandon, Florida in 2007. While in Florida, Kristen pursued her passion for cooking, working as a baker for many years, then meal planning and preparation for a grade school cafeteria, and finally in a coffee shop. She found a second “family” with the Bloomingdale Softball League where Alyssa played throughout her youth. Even as she endured treatments to combat her cancer, she never missed a game or an opportunity to support her favorite team, offering snacks, meals and encouragement to all players. Whether cheering on the team or advancing Hailey’s artistic talents, she was extremely proud of and dearly devoted to both her girls. Kristen and her daughters relocated to Rhinelander in June 2019 to be near her immediate family. Accompanying them was Alyssa’s long-time boyfriend, Brendan Queen whom Kristen often referred to as “her third kid.” She enjoyed making others laugh, she looked forward to new adventures, she loved crisp fall days and the colors of autumn. She was a true champion, an inspiration to many and a friend to all. Kristen is survived by daughters Alyssa Adams and Hailey Adams of Rhinelander, “third kid” Brendan Queen of Rhinelander, parents Cheryl and Les Siem of Eagle River and Michael Seegert of Sarasota, FL, brother Matthew Seegert of Woodruff, step-siblings Lindsay (Christopher) Gosch of Bunker Hill, IL, Tamara (Dan) Kruitz of New Braunfels, TX and Jonathan Siem of Houston, TX. Also surviving are aunts, uncles, cousins and household pet Buster. Kristen is preceded in death by maternal grandparents Byford and Nancy Cavitt, and paternal grandparents Herman and Marion Seegert. A celebration of Kristen’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 25, 2019 at the St. Germain United Church of Christ, 1315 Hwy 155, St. Germain, WI, 54558.
