Kim’s Obituary Republic- Kim William Nault, age 70 of Republic passed away at his home on October 22, 2019 with his family by his side. Kim was born in Ishpeming on October 3, 1949 to Clarence and Della (Brown) Nault. Kim married Kathleen Kelley on December 5, 1981. At the time of their marriage, both Kim and Kathy had two sons. They increased their family with two daughters. Kim injured his back while working bridge construction in 1985. During his time of being unable to work, he obtained his GED and went on to obtain different certifications to qualify for employment with Republic Department of Public Works. He eventually became the DPW Foreman for many years. During this time, he also was a member of The Rabbit Club, The Lions Club (President one year) and the Republic Fire Department for 20+ years where he was assistant chief at one point. He was also cemetery ton for several years. Kim enjoyed playing pool and smear at the Pine Grove, and fishing and camping with his family. While Kim liked to hunt, we always bragged that he never got a legal deer at the same time as keeping his family fed. He could often be found at the Pine Grove playing guitar for his friends. Survivors include his wife, Kathy of Republic; Four sons, Jeff (Dee) Nault of Guam; Stephen (Mindy) Kelley of Nevarre, Florida; Jason (Kara Stahl) Nault of Republic; Richard (Jodie) Kelley of Great Mills, Maryland; Melissa (Shane) Crothers of Republic , Kaitlyn (Greg Grund) Nault of Republic, two special daughters-in-law, Vee Starrine and Hilda McCullen, and Jason Losch; thirteen grandchildren and one great grandson; one sister Ruby Jacobs; a brother David (Teresa) Nault; sister-in-law Nancy Kuppin and brother-in-law Dennis (Robi) Kelley. Kim is preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Della Nault, a sister Laura, his brother-in-law Keith Jacobs, mother-in-law, Margaret Kelley and sister-in-law, Karen Guerra.
