She was born to the family of Karl and Barbara Jean Oliver on September 21, 1949 in Brinkley, where she remained part of the community throughout the years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick Rutherford, father, Karl Frederick Oliver, and one brother, Jim Oliver. Karroll is survived by; sons, Karl (Sissy) Smith, Joseph Smith, David Smith; daughter, Kennie Lynn Essig; mother, Barbara Lanning; brothers, Robert Carl Oliver and wife Dottie, Doug Fowler and wife Renae, Tommy Fowler, Keith Fowler and sister, May Ellen Allen, along with 12 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.
