1 Judith Ann Caress April 09, 1944 – October 16, 2019 Click here to sign the guest book Obituary Judith Ann Caress, 75, of Kendallville, formerly of Trafalger, died Wednesday, October 16, 2019, at Orchard Pointe Health Campus in Kendallville. She was born April 9, 1944, in Staton Island, New York, to Forest Paul and Grace O’June (Herring) Knepper. Mrs. Caress was a registered nurse at IU Health University Hospital in Indianapolis and also conducted research on alzheimer’s disease. Judith enjoyed traveling and socializing with family and friends. She hosted frequent get-togethers and loved having guests around all the time. She moved to this area several years ago to be closer to her sisters. Surviving are four daughters, Katie Day of Indianapolis, Trisha McMath of Indianapolis, Jennifer Fodera of Indianapolis, and Maria Flake of Indianapolis; four sons, John Caress, Jr. of Indianapolis, Matt Foreman of Salt Lake City, Utah, Tim Caress of Indianapolis, and Alex Caress of Trafalger; several grandchildren; and three sisters, Becky Arnold of Kendallville, Paula Knepper of Kendallville, and Linda Arnold of Leesburg. She was preceded in death by her husband, John H. Caress. A memorial service is being planned for a later date. Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville is assisting the family with arrangements.
