Joyce’s Obituary Joyce Hogan, age 82, of Shawano, passed away on Tuesday, October 01, 2019. Joyce was born on January 18, 1937, in Belle Plaine, to the late Donald and Amanda (Suehring) Briske. On July 25, 1953, Joyce was united in marriage to Reeve Hogan in Hermansfort. Joyce and Reeve owned and operated Hogan’s Howell Inn in Milwaukee for 23 years before they retired to Gillett. Reeve preceded Joyce in death on April 25, 2010. She enjoyed cooking, the outdoors, gardening, going for motorcycle rides with her husband and was an avid Packer and Brewer fan. Joyce also enjoyed spending her time with family and watching her grandson play baseball. Joyce is survived by: her children, Michael (Lyn) Hogan of Bowler, Brenda (LeRoy) Clark of Shawano, and Patrick (Robin) Hogan of Cecil; one grandson, Brandon (Jessy); three great-grandchildren, Elliot, Cooper, and Reegan; one brother, Ervin (Shirley) Briske of Marion; and one sister-in-law, Sharon Briske. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by: her husband of 57 years, Reeve; her parents, Donald and Amanda; one sister, Deloris; and one brother, Carl. A funeral service for Joyce will be held at 11:00 am, on Monday, October 7, 2019, at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano with Rev. Travis Kleinschmidt officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Oconto Falls. Visitation will be on Monday at the funeral home from 9:30 am until the time of service. Read More
