Mr. Joseph “Joe” Ray Thomas, age 78 of the Claymour Community, passed away on Monday, October 21st at the Medical Center in Bowling Green of natural causes. He was born July 25, 1941 in Logan County, Kentucky the son of the late George S. and Mildred Isbell Thomas. He was a member of the Green Ridge Baptist Church and was a retired farmer. He loved his family, working on equipment and cattle trading. He was preceded in death by his parents as well as four brothers Claude, Roger, Carl and Julian Thomas and seven sisters Margaret Hunton, Juanita Westray, Edith Denton, Betty Bilyeu, JoAnn Fish, Mildred Philpott and Dorothy Hayes. He is survived by his wife of 56 years Wanda Thomas of Claymour; one son Danny Thomas (Lesa) of Claymour; one sister Nancy Camp of Elkton and one grandchild. Visitation with the Thomas family will be on Saturday from 11:00 until funeral service time at 1:00 in the Rose Chapel of the Todd County Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Dawson officiating. Interment will follow at the Glenwood Cemetery in Elkton. In lieu of flowers the family request that contributions be made to the Green Ridge Baptist Church.
