Mr. Joseph Burgess King , age 48, husband of Francis Megan Leygi of Mount Vernon, KY passed away on Wednesday, October 2, 2019 at the Rockcastle Regional Hospital. Joseph was born on December 22, 1970 in Mt. Vernon, KY, a son of James Benton King, and Bessie Gentry. He was of the Sand Hill Baptist Church. He enjoyed shooting pool, football, and playing music. Those left to celebrate his life are his wife: Francis Megan Leygi King; his children; Damon James King of Elizabethtown, KY, Alexis Mylin King of Danville, KY, and Michael Craig King of Somerset, KY; one grandchild: Oakley James King; his parents; James Benton King and Bessie Gentry King; his brothers; Greg Mills King of Texas, Curtis King of Mt. Vernon, KY and James Benton King, Jr. and wife Janie of Mt. Vernon, KY; his sister; Rhonda Mills of Indiana. He was preceded in death by his brother: Jeffery Dwayne King. Services for Joseph Burgess King will be at a later date. Burial will be in the Sand Hill Cemetery.
