JOSEPH M. BENITEZ August 30, 1948 – October 21, 2019 Walden, NY Joseph M. Benitez, of Walden, NY entered into eternal rest on October 21, 2019 at Fishkill Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing, Beacon, NY. He was 71 years old. The son of the late Ernest Benitez and Angeles (De La Rosa) Benitez, Joseph was born on August 30, 1948 in Manhattan, NY. Joseph was a retired Security Officer at Montefiore St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital, Newburgh, NY. Our father was a loving man, who welcomed all into his home and loved them as family. He loves music and movies to pass time as well as spending time with his family. He was able to create a beautiful picture when talking about his life and memories. He will be missed greatly. Joseph is survived by his daughters: Jennifer A. Pomeroy and her husband Christopher of Wallkill, NY and Anne Marie Benitez of Walden, NY; his grandchildren: Ethan Michael, Paige Addison, and Connor Patrick; and his brothers: Ernest Benitez of Deer Park, NY and John Benitez of Green Cove Spring, FL Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, October 26th at Quigley-Sullivan Funeral Home, Inc., 337 Hudson St. Cornwall-On-Hudson, NY. Cremation will take place at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery, Poughkeepsie, NY. A Memorial Mass will be held at a later date.
