On Sunday, September 29, Jose Edwardo Raposo Amaral, of Rehoboth, Massachusetts, loving son, husband, father, Dziadek (grandfather) and brother, passed away after a short illness at the age of 54. Joe was born on December 14, 1964, in Saint Miguel, Azores, to Jose Pacheco and Maria Raposo Amaral. He graduated from New Bedford Vocational Technical High School with a plumbing certificate in 1983. Joe is survived by his loving wife Juli-Ann Amaral of twenty-four years and his eleven beautiful children Jenni Enos, Melissa Quental, Erica Gallant, James Persinger, Olivia Amaral, Shawn Oller, Ashley, Stephen, Baylie, Danielle and Alianna Amaral. He is preceded in death by his sister Gorett Dominik and survived by his brother Victor Amaral and wife Adriana Amaral, several nieces, nephews and grandchildren. Joe was a foster parent for over fourteen years, helping to change the lives of many children with his kind and humble compassion. Joe owned his own contracting company before becoming employed at Northern Container, where his hard work and dedication was rewarded with not just friends but an extension of his family. Joe had many interests and hobbies including being a diehard Dallas Cowboys fan, fishing, photography, movies and country music. Joe was always there to help his relatives and friends, and his greatest joy was spending time with his children and grandchildren. A celebration of life service will be held on Wednesday, October 2, 2019, from 4:00-7:00 P.M, with a prayer service beginning at 6:30pm.
