Jorden’s Obituary Jorden Todd Morris, 28, of Aubrey, TX, passed away Thursday, October 24, 2019 in Dallas, TX. Jorden was born July 5, 1991 in Dallas, TX to Todd and Gay (Rose) Morris. Jorden is survived by his parents, Todd and Gay; his paternal grandmother, Minell Morris of Westlake, LA; maternal grandmother Marcella Rose of Pilot Point, TX; two brothers, Garrett Morris of The Colony, TX, and Josh Laughlin of Sulphur, LA; and loving girlfriend Kalyssa Palazuelos of Plano, TX. Jorden courageously battled leukemia for 2 1/2 years with such grace, enormous determination, and an unparalleled positive attitude. He was always full of life, laughter, and compassion. Anyone who met him loved him. Jorden also had an immeasurable amount of love for all animals, as Animal Planet was his favorite show. He even rescued his cat, Sam, also known as Samwise Gamgee, from underneath his car during freezing weather. He graduated from Aubrey High School in 2009 and went on to earn his Bachelor Degree in Kinesiology from the University of North Texas in 2015. Jorden was employed at Amcad and Graphics in Sales and Marketing. Jorden enjoyed traveling, accessorizing his Toyota 4Runner, trying out new restaurants, being with his friends, and investing in a good steak. He had a love for the outdoors, including fishing and camping. Above all else, Jorden adored his girlfriend of four years Kalyssa Palazuelos. She was his world. He told the nurses while at MD Anderson that if he didn’t have cancer he would have already married her. Kalyssa stood by Jorden’s side from the very beginning to the very end. Our entire family is truly blessed to have such a lovely devoted young lady to love Jorden like she has. Our hearts are forever grateful. Visitation will be held 1:00PM, Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at Slay Memorial Chapel in Aubrey, TX. A memorial service will follow at 2:00PM, Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at Slay Memorial Chapel in Aubrey, TX with Scott Morris officiating.
