Johnnie ‘Steve’ Boles, 61, of Twin City, GA, formerly of Lowndesville, SC died Friday, October 25, 2019. He was born in Abbeville to the late Carl and Marie Willoughby Boles. Steve attended Calhoun Falls High School and was formerly employed by the South Carolina Highway Department in Abbeville. Many happy hours were spent outdoors fishing and hunting; he was also an avid horse enthusiast. Steve was of the Pentecostal Holiness faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Shannon Boles; brother, Ray Boles; sister, Kathy Green; a brother-in-law, Repete Parnell; and a dear friend, Shirley Brown. Steve is survived by his son, Steven Boles; a sister, Shelby Parnell, of Lowndesville; a brother, Howard Boles, of Iva; brother-in-law, Wayne Green; sister-in-law, Pat Boles; two special cousins, Barbara Green and Evelyn Burton; and a wide circle of extended family and friends. Graveside services will be 3:00PM, Sunday, October 27, 2019 in Smyrna Cemetery, Lowndesville with Rev. Scotty Willoughby officiating.
