Services for John Clark, 77 of Chariton, will be held Saturday, October 5, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at the Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Chariton. Interment will follow at the Mt. Zion Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Friday, from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m., at the funeral home. Surviving are his wife, Maria Elena, his beloved children: Karmel (John) Kemper – Chariton, IA; Monica (Walter) Hitt – Derby, IA; Tonya (partner Thad Tracy) Giesken – Norwalk, IA; Adrian Clark – Austin, TX; Kylie (partner Rod Engblom) Clark – Oak Park, IL and his 10 grandchildren whom he adored: Braden Hitt, Brooke Hitt, Victoria (fiancée Jay Stremel) Giesken, Aerial Giesken, Alyssa Giesken, Dylan (Ashley) Kemper, Dalton Kemper, Trinity Kemper, Dominic Kemper, and Dawson Kemper. Also surviving is his younger brother, Paul (Beth) Clark – Stanhope, IA; and his sister, Marilyn (Dave) Duda – Hazel Green, WI; multiple nieces & nephews; loving cousins; extended family & friends. John was preceded in death by his firstborn, John Dale Clark (October 2001), his sister, Elizabeth (1951), father Clarence (1962), mother Evelyn (1974), brother Donald (1993), brother Dwaine (2001).
