Jessie C.’s Obituary Funeral services for Mr. Jessie C. “JC” Carraway will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 19, 2019, in Turkey Creek Church of Christ with Brothers Jamie Roberts and Joe Jenkins officiating. Interment will follow in Turkey Creek Cemetery under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale. Mr. Carraway, 66, of Turkey Creek, entered eternal rest on Thursday, October 17, 2019 in his residence. JC loved gardening and going to church and was a truck driver for 30 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Horace and Mary Carraway and one brother, Donald Carraway. Those left to mourn his loss and cherish his memory include his loving wife of ten years, Cynthia Carraway of Turkey Creek; three sons, Shane A. Carraway and his wife, Donna of Marietta, GA, Travis C. Carraway and his wife, April of Pine Prairie and Jessie T. Carraway of Port Allen; two step children, Gwen Alwell and her husband, Steven of Deville and Kyle Hebert and his wife, Christina of California; one brother, Carl Carraway and his wife, Laura of Pine Prairie; one sister, Sharon Chappell and her husband, Roy of Turkey Creek; fourteen grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Honored to serve as pallbearers are Gary Carraway, Brent Hebert, Derek Hebert, Derrek Thrasher, Danny Rogers and Steven Alwell. Serving as honorary pallbearer is Lanni Johnson. Friends may call at Turkey Creek Church of Christ from 1:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Friday, October 18, 2019. Visitation will resume on Saturday, October 19, 2019 at 8:00 a.m. until time of service.
