Obituary of Jerald Goncalves Jerald Gonçalves, 75, passed away, Sunday, October 13, 2019, at University Hospital. After graduating from Houghton College, Jerald was an educational missionary in Puerto Rico, where he taught the sciences and math. While in Puerto Rico, Jerry earned his NAWI scuba driver’s license. He retired from New York State after more than 20 years of service, most recently as an Affirmative Action Officer. Jerald enjoyed keeping his hands busy and doing projects around the house, including woodworking and working on cars. He is predeceased by his siblings, James Gonçalves and Jo-Ann Wojceichowski, niece Carolyn and nephew, James Gregory. Jerald is survived by his wife of 55 years, Jeanene Ross Gonçalves; sons, William, Matthew (Janet) and Patrick; grandchildren Abigail, Joshua, and Isabella; sisters, Marie (Grove) Gipple and Linda Wojceichowski. Calling hours are Wednesday October 16th from 4 to 7 pm at Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer St, Baldwinsville, NY. Services are Thursday October 17th at 10 am at Falardeau Funeral Home with the burial to follow at Riverview Cemetery, Baldwinsville, NY. Contributions to the Greater Baldwinsville Ambulance Corps in lieu of flowers would be great appreciated.
