Mr. Jeffery Alan Pigg, 58, of Concord passed away Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at his home. Funeral services will be conducted at 12 noon Saturday, November 2, 2019 in Wilkinson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jim Strickland officiating. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:30am to 12 noon prior to the service. Jeffery was a 1979 graduate of Concord High School. Following his high school career, he became a US Marine where he worked as a helicopter mechanic. Jeffery loved music and enjoyed playing the guitar. He also enjoyed going on walks and spending time with his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, George W. Pigg; Grand Parents Robert L. and Minnie Pigg of Concord and Hubert and Osie Little of Stanfield. Left to cherish his memories are his mother, Jean Wetter and husband William; sister, Shelia Pigg-Walter and husband Fred Jr. of Concord; stepsister, Penny O’Quinn and husband Bubba of Rockwell; step-brothers, Donny Wetter and wife Kelly of New London and Eugene Steverson of Rockwell; nephews, William T. Walter and wife Nicole of Kannapolis and Robert Walter and wife Stephanie of Gold Hill; and special friend, Toni Vincent. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Levine Cancer Institute of Charlotte and to Hospice of Cabarrus County, especially Dr. Ashley Sumrall and the Chemo Lab technicians and nurses for the wonderful care and support they provided.
