James’ Obituary James Raymond Grant, 58, of Granite City, IL, passed away at 4:40 p.m. Mon. Oct. 14, 2019 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO. He was born Jan. 30, 1961 to the Oscar Ray Grant of Granite City and the late Delberta Diane (DeWitt) Grant. James was an auto mechanic and loved spending time with his family. He also loved to fish and be outdoors. In addition to his father, he is survived by 2 daughters: Terra (Jerry Buhr) Grant of Granite City and Samantha (Alex) Altenberger of Camp Lejeune, NC; a son: Michael Langston of Farmington, MO; 7 grandchildren: Cameron, Elayna, Ethan, Bentley, Levi, Draedan and Arianna; a brother: David (Sandra) Grant of Granite City; 2 sisters: Kathy Grove and Debbie (Jeff) Clark of Casevyille, IL; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his mother, he was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Grant. Services are private.
