Obituary James David King, age 72, of the Hardin Valley Community, Knoxville passed away peacefully Thursday afternoon, October 24, 2019. David volunteered with the Knox County Sheriff’s Department. He is preceded in death by his parents, R V King and Trula Mae Stinnett King. His is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Fay (King) Shimp Lonny Shimp of Saint Mary’s, Ohio; five nieces and nephews, Jeremy Donald of Mineola, TX, Ben Shimp of Columbus, OH, Bethany Shimp of St. Marys, Ohio, Blane Shimp and Taylor Shimp of Saint Mary’s, OH; great nephew, Brennon Donald of Mineola, TX. The family will receive friends from 9 to 10 a.m.on Saturday at the Click Funeral Home Farragut Chapel with a Celebration of Life to follow at 10 a.m. Graveside service will follow at Marietta Church Cemetery.
