Obituary of J. Harvey Livingston Mr. J. Harvey Livingston, age 87 passed away Thursday, October 10, 2019 at AHC Crestview in Brownsville, TN. Funeral services will be conducted at First United Methodist Church in Brownsville, TN on Saturday, October 12, 2019 at 11:00 AM with Dr. Roger Penn, Rev. Sammy Tillman, and Dr. Joe Thorton officiating. Burial will follow the service at Oakwood Cemetery in Brownsville, TN. Visitation for Mr. Livingston will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2019 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at First United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife Minnie Walden Duffey Livingston, his parents, Lawrence Wilson Livingston, Sr. and Bettie Harvey Livingston, one brother Wilson Livingston, Jr. and son-in-law, Robert Grunewald. He is survived by two sons, Jim Livingston (Rhonda) of Brownsville, TN and Welch Livingston (Anne) of Nashville, TN, a daughter, Margaret Livingston Grunewald of Brownsville, TN, a sister, Janice Livingston of Greeley, CO, three grandchildren, Julie Johnson, Doug Grunewald, Spencer Zeigler and one great-grandchild, William Grunewald. J. Harvey Livingston was a life-long member of First United Methodist Church and a life-long merchant of Brownville as owner of Livingston’s Furniture and Appliance. He loved to squirrel hunt in Hatchie Bottom and he also enjoyed football, especially the Haywood Tomcats and the Tennessee Vols. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to First United Methodist Church, 117 E. Franklin Street, Brownsville, TN 38012.
