Huber McCall, Sr., 94, of Seneca, South Carolina, passed away on October 11, 2019, at Seneca Health and Rehab. Born in Cashiers, NC, he was the son of the late Journ and Zora McCall. Mr. McCall is survived by his daughters, Delores Beaver, Wilma L. White and Jane M. White, all of Seneca, SC, and a sister, Clara Dailey, of Clayton, GA. He is also survived by several precious grandchildren, great grandchildren and nephews and nieces. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Leota S. McCall; sons: Gordon R. McCall, Jerry Allen McCall and Huber McCall, Jr. (JR); son-in-law: H. Robert White; grandson: Anthony Lawing; brothers: Elmer McCall and Conrad McCall, and sister: Myrtle Mathis; and daughter-in-law: Renee McCall. Mr. McCall was a retired brick mason and a longtime member of Snow Creek Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and served during World War II. Mr. McCall was a Shriner and a member of the Seneca Masonic Lodge. The family would like to give deep appreciation to Casey Galloway, Mr. McCall’s long-time caregiver and family friend. The family would like to give a special thanks to Keowee Family Medicine and Seneca Health and Rehabilitation for the excellent care they provided Mr. McCall. He loved the Lord and his family with all his heart and was always there during good and difficult times. We love you Sweet Angel Daddy. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Monday, October 14, 2019, at Davenport Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Oconee Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:00-2:00 PM, Monday, prior to the service, at Davenport Funeral Home. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Snow Creek Baptist Church, Building Fund, 200 Snow Creek Church Road, Seneca, South Carolina 29678. The family will be at their respective homes.
