Hilda Corbin, 75, passed away October 12, at Akron City Hospital after brief illness. Born in Beautfort, SC. to John and Rebecca Williams, she lived in the Akron community for 53 years. Hilda was an account clerk at Uniroyal Goodrich Tire Company and the Radisson Inn in Akron, as well as having served her country in the United States Marine Corp. She is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Walter M. Corbin and is survived by her son, Walter Anthony (Monica) Corbin of North Canton;, daughter, Erika Corbin of Mahwah, New Jersey; brothers, Thomas (Dorothy) Williams, Curtis (Leah) Williams of St. Helena Island, SC, David (Blondell) Williams of Hinesville, GA; sisters, Ethel Sumpter, Dorothy Beck of Miami, FL, Ruthelle (Willie) Jones of Hinesville, GA, Elizabeth (Donald) Henry of Middleton, NY, Charlette (Michael) Massey of Eustis, FL,; brother-in-law, Calvin (Andrea) Corbin of Akron; sister-in-law, Cassie Mae Williams of Port Royal, SC; grandchildren, Rayneisha (Frederick III) Jones of Clarksville, TN, Rebecca and Reyna Corbin of North Canton; special cousin, Vincent Reed of Akron and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
