Henry’s Obituary The Life of Henry Castro Henry Castro was born on April 12, 1937 in Santa Ana in his home on Logan St. His was born to his parents Antenojenes and Petra Castro. He is 9th child of 14, He had 6 brothers and 7 sisters they include Vicki, Pete, Margarito, Lino, Mini, Sally, Dina, Virginia, Josie, David, Rosie, Albert & Alfred. He played football for Gonzalez high school for around 2 years, but he was taken out of school by his father to work the fields like his other siblings to help supplement the income at home. He joined the U.S. Navy and served for 3.5 yrs. He then began a career in construction as a cement mason and was a member of the local laborers union 652 for around 25 yrs. He then met the love of his life Dora Garcia and they married on 06-06-59, and they had 3 children Henry Jr., Debbie and Carlos. Henry Jr. married Anna Burciaga and they had 3 daughters, Julie Ann, Suzanne Renee and Nancie Castro. Julie Ann has 3 daughters, Aleena, Doriana & Bella; Suzie has 2 children Isaac and Leilani; and Nancie has 3 children Kaylan and the twins Audrianna and Ashlee. Debbie had 1 daughter, Christy Castro and 2 sons Steven and Dominic Morales. Christy had 4 children Eddie, Nestor, Shyan and GiGi. Carlos (Lito) had 5 children, Carol, Karina, he then married Stevie Castro and they had David, Damon and William Castro. So he is survived by 3 children, 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. He met his life time partner Filomena and they fell in love and have been together for 17 yrs she tirelessly took care of him until the very end along with her daughter Linda who would check on them daily and drive Henry to most of his appointments and cared for them. Thank you for all you did for him it did not go unnoticed. Henry was a funny, outgoing, loving and grouchy at times kind of man. He loved country western movies and country music and of course his Mexican music. He would sometimes answer with an “I reckon,” or well “I have to go and feed my cattle,” or “I think I’ve taken a liken to ya,” or he would leave with an “I have to hit that road and bite that dust,”, or EJO MAN or Aunt Rosie would ask do you want some more to eat he would say “I don’t mind if I do,” were some of his favorite quotes. He also had nick names for everyone. He is going to be missed dearly. We love you Pops and grandpa this isn’t goodbye it is until we see you again save a spot for us. Jesus embrace our father and grandfather and welcome into your kingdom in paradise where there is no more illness or sickness only pure peace and splendor.
