Pittman, age 86, of Coulterville, IL, passed away on Sunday, October 6, 2019 at 10:19 p.m. in St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, O’Fallon, IL. Helen was born on July 26, 1933 in Hickman Township, AR, a daughter to William and Viola (Peters) Arnold. On June 3, 1950, she married Louis Pittman in Blytheville, AR and he survives. She was a member of Calvary Church, Sparta, IL and dearly loved her church and church family. In her lifetime, Helen had worked as a cashier at IGA, Pinckneyville, IL and as a seamstress at Bridal Originals, Sparta, IL. She was a member of the United Food & Commercial Workers Union, loved quilting, and was a great seamstress and a wonderful grandmother. Survivors include her husband of 69 years, Louis Pittman of Coulterville, IL; her daughter, Sharon Kay (Roger) Davis of O’Fallon, IL; two grandchildren, Laura René (Neal) Gramenz of Steeleville, IL and Curtis Brandon Burnett of St. Louis, MO; five great-grandchildren, Amber Nicole and Ashli Christine Gramenz of Steeleville, IL, Jaylan Burnett of Atlanta, GA, Easton and Weston Burnett of St. Louis, MO; and a step-great-grandaughter, Jessa Gramenz. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL on Thursday, October 10, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. with Brother Tim McIntyre officiating. Interment will be in Mueller Hill Cemetery, Pinckneyville, IL. Friends may call at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL on Thursday from 9:00 a.m untill 11:00 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to Calvary Church, Sparta, IL.
