Hazel A. Town (Fessenden), age 71, joined her Lord and Savior in heaven on Tuesday October 8, 2019 under the loving care of her family and friends. She was born October 24, 1947. She married her husband, of 53 years, on December 18, 1965. Survived by her husband, Charles W. Town II; son, Charles W. Town III (Patricia Scouten); daughter, Sandra S. Grant (Kenneth); sister, Katherine Smith (Richard); granddaughter, Requel A. Gunter (Christopher Hatch); three great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Katherine E. and Floyd F. Fessenden. Being from Grand Rapids, she later found her adult life to be in Jackson, Michigan and the last fourteen years she spent most of her days in Columbus, New Mexico. She loved her family and lifelong friends, including her new friends in Columbus. She had many crafting talents including sewing, knitting and wood working. We must not forget about her love for her dogs. She cared for many other animals with fostering and placing them in forever homes. She loved traveling and fishing and just enjoying life. A celebration of life will be at a later date. Cremation has been entrusted to Baca’s Mimbres Crematory.
