He was born August 20, 1982 in Catawba County to Gerald McDowell and Cindy Pounds Wiley. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church and was employed with McCreary Modern. He leaves to cherish loving memories a son Jacob Pounds of Hickory. His mother Cindy (Ira Sr) Wiley of Vale, NC, His siblings Rodney (Margaret) Pounds and Tyna Pounds both of Hickory, NC and Jennifer (Eric) Moore of Shelby, NC. His step siblings Esha Wiley of Durham, NC and Ira (Jennifer) Wiley Jr of Winston-Salem, NC. A host of uncles, aunts, many other relatives and friends. The funeral service will be held Friday October 4, 2019 at 3:00 pm at New Hope Baptist Church in Vale, NC with the Reverend Larry Roseboro, Pastor officiating. The family will receive friends Friday from 2:00 pm-3:00 pm at the Church.
